DISTRICT INITIATES NEW REGISTRATION AND ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES Beginning with the 2009-10 school year, the Hickman Mills C-1 School District is initiating a new centralized registration and school enrollment procedure designed to ensure accuracy of all student and household information. July 28 - 31, ALL new and returning students in the district will register at Hickman Mills High School, 9010 Old Santa Fe Road. Once registration is complete, students go to their home school to get schedules and complete the enrollment process.

(Step 1) RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS: Parents/guardians must provide proof of residency and identification at registration. Families living with a district resident must be accompanied to registration by the homeowner or lease holder of that residence. For a complete list of requirements and/or what to bring to prove residency, go the district’s website www.hickmanmills.org/residency-enrollment. The information will also be in the summer edition of Your School Report and will be sent home with every student before the end of the current school year.

REGISTRATION SCHEDULE 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 28 and Friday, July 31 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30.

(Step 3) ENROLLMENT @ YOUR SCHOOL
ENROLLMENT SCHEDULE 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 28 and Friday, July 31 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29 and Thursday, July 30.

REGISTRATION TIPS:
Tip #1: Print off and complete the Student Registration Form in advance.
Tip #2: An E-Form will be available soon. You may complete the form online then print.
Tip #3: Make sure vaccinations are current.
Tip #4:Attend registration without your children, planning child care during the registration period will probably help you move through the registration process more quickly.
Tip #5: Don't forget your PEN. We will provide some writing implements, but bring your own pen will help speed up the process.
Tip #6: Carefully consider your emergency contacts.

LATE REGISTRATION
After July 31, late registration will be held at Baptiste Educational Center, 5401 East 103rd St., BY APPOINTMENT ONLY by calling (816) 316-7009. NO ONE will be allowed to enroll on the first day of school Thursday, August 13. Students at the Early Childhood Center, Crittenton and Spofford will register and enroll at those sites.
